Rekeying
Just moved in or lost a key? We re-pin your existing locks so old keys stop working, no new hardware needed.
What we do
Rekeying changes the pins inside a lock so a new key works and every old key doesn’t. It’s the fastest, cheapest way to take back control after a move, a lost key or a change of roommates.
Front, back and garage entry doors keyed alike
Two new keys per lock included
Works with most residential brands and deadbolts
Upgrade to high-security pins if you want
If a lock is worn out or cheap to begin with, we’ll say so and quote a replacement. Most of the time, rekeying is all you need.
Common questions
Rekey or replace: which do I need?
If the locks work well and you just need old keys to stop working, rekey. Replace when the lock is damaged, loose or you want a higher security grade.
Can all my doors use one key?
Usually yes, if the locks share a keyway. We check on site and tell you before we start.
How long does it take?
About 10 minutes per lock. A typical three-door home takes under an hour.
