Ray Delgado spent eleven years at a commercial lock shop before he bought a used van in 2012 and started taking lockout calls himself. The work was easy to learn. What bothered him was how many people had been quoted one price on the phone and charged another at the door.
So Ironside started with a simple promise: tell people the price first, show ID at the door, and never start work nobody agreed to. Fourteen years and 18,400 jobs later, it’s still the only rule we train new technicians on before their first shift.
Today there are three of us, four vans and a small shop on East Indian School Road where we cut keys, rebuild locks and answer the 24/7 line.
